Sewing knits: make your own knickers!

Service Description

An introduction to sewing knit fabric, making your own panties is a fantastic way to save money and use up small pieces of leftover fabric. Using a pattern by Paper Theory Patterns and an old T shirt, we will discuss the techniques used to sew knit fabrics while assembling this simple garment. Please bring along an old T shirt to make your new undies: choose an "ordinary" cotton knit T shirt, rather than something fancy, both for sewing ease and for comfort when wearing. You will get the most from this class if you are already familiar with sewing with a sewing machine. If you are brand new to sewing, then I recommend taking one of my "Introduction to Sewing" classes before joining this workshop. I try very hard not to cancel sessions, but it is occasionally unavoidable. Should this occur you will be offered the choice of a place in a later course or a refund for the missed session. Fees are otherwise non refundable.
