Make a Recycled Fabric Bag

Service Description

Make a Bag out of recycled clothes! In our first session you will be introduced to Kawandi quilting techniques, and use scraps of fabric cut from old clothes to create a unique hand stitched Bag Flap. During our second session we will work more on our quilting, and cut out the rest of the fabric for our bag. If you haven't finished you may have to complete your quilting at home. Session 3 will see us assemble our pieces to create a unique bag made entirely from recycled fabric! You will need to bring the following to the class: A pair of old jeans, one or two old garments made from cotton (i.e. patterned shirts, skirts or dresses). We will share the fabrics between the group, so we all get to use a variety of designs. If you are unable to bring old clothing then let me know and I can source some for you. I try very hard not to cancel sessions, but it is occasionally unavoidable. Should this occur you will be offered the choice of a place in a later course or a refund for the missed session. Fees are otherwise non refundable.
