Make a quilted jacket

Service Description

Make your own version of this lovely quilted jacket, designed by Vivian Shao Chen. Featuring a shawl collar and a choice of two patch pocket designs the jacket can be either cropped or below hip length. This pattern is perfect for adding your own twist. We will start our workshops by quilting the pieces that make up the jacket using a walking foot on the sewing machine, before assembling them and finishing with a very smart and stylish bias binding finish. While the original design has an open front, buttons can be added if desired, and we will discuss the options for this in class. You will need to bring your own fabric with you (an email will be sent with quantities and recommendations) but wadding and your own copy of the pattern to take home will be provided.
