Service Description

An introduction to the traditional Sashiko stitching technique. Once carried out through necessity, Sashiko is now a popular technique for both mending and decorative stitching. Learn about the history and cultural roots of Sashiko stitching, while stitching samples based on traditional Japanese designs. Then take home a fabric bag, printed with a sashiko design, for you to practice your newfound skills. I try very hard not to cancel sessions, but it is occasionally unavoidable. Should this occur you will be offered the choice of a place in a later course or a refund for the missed session. Fees are otherwise non refundable.
